RAMBAN : Leader of Opposition in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly and senior BJP leader Sunil Sharma, accompanied by BJP District President Neelam Langeh and other senior party leaders, visited Ramban on Monday as part of the BJP’s ongoing mass public outreach programme across Jammu & Kashmir.
During the visit, Sharma met several delegations representing different sections of society and held detailed interactions with the people. He patiently heard their grievances, concerns and demands related to various issues affecting their day-to-day lives, employment and development.
Sharma assured the delegations that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned authorities and, wherever required, raised at the appropriate forums to seek their early resolution.
The BJP leader also interacted with NHM employees who are currently protesting over their long-pending demands and extended support to their concerns. The employees apprised him of issues including regularisation, pay parity, job security and other service-related demands.
Besides the NHM employees, issues concerning SPOs, VDG members and unpaid VDG personnel were also discussed during the public interaction. Sharma assured the concerned representatives that their issues, including matters related to remuneration and pending payments, would be taken up with the concerned authorities.
Sharma said that the issues raised by the people of Ramban would be strongly highlighted by the BJP during the ongoing Assembly Session.
“The people of Ramban have raised several important issues concerning their day-to-day lives and development. We will strongly raise these matters in the Assembly and continue to pursue them with the concerned authorities until they are addressed,” Sharma said.
He reiterated that the BJP would continue to stand with the people of Jammu & Kashmir and remain accessible to them through its public outreach programmes.
Sharma further said that the party would continue to raise issues concerning the rights, development and welfare of different sections of society and oppose policies and decisions that, according to the party, are against public interest.
“BJP will remain the strong voice of the people of J&K. We will continue to highlight what we believe are anti-people policies and issues of misgovernance and will fight for the rights, development and welfare of every section of society,” Sharma asserted.
The Leader of Opposition assured the visiting delegations that the BJP would continue its public outreach efforts across Jammu & Kashmir, listen to the concerns of the people and take up their genuine demands before the appropriate authorities and forums.
